Pradeep and Surendra Friends in melody
Pradeep Rangana Abeysinghe, the medico musician emerged as the ‘Super Star’ at the ‘Sirasa” sponsored contest. Surendra Perera became the runner-up.
In the true Sri Lankan style, the supporters of either side spread stories to drive a wedge between the two rising stars in the music scene.
The first assignment of the winner Pradeep on the day after his victory was to drive to meet his best friend in music, the runner-up, Surendra. Pradeep and Surendra are the best of friends and have plans to appear together often on the same stage.

For many in srilanka if not for Dialog inefficiency Surendra is the Super Star.
for many and many Pradeep is the superstar. So pls dont undermine his victory and his populariy. We love Pradeep and his beautiful voice
They r good friends.
What is pradeep’s voice? We still find it . Surendrea’s voice is with much clarity. No one can argue about it. It became quite evident that surendra is the peoples star. Pradeep definitly can’t outsmart surendra on the stage.
I beg from these immature adults to not to corrupt these young matured minds please.
I wish Surendra and Pradeep a good furture.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What do you do when you’ve got two of Sri Lanka’s best left on “Sirasa Super Star” and only the very best could be the winner at today’s grand finale at the Sugathadasa Stadium?

If you google Surendra Perera’s name, 17,700 items come up; Pradeep Rangana produces 828, a good 16,872 less. So, Surendra should win, right?

Dear Pradeep fans,
Where were you in the first 10 final rounds, when Surendra always came on top and Pradeep just managed to hang on till the end? How is it that suddenly Pradeep emerged as the superstar in the 11th round beating the hot favourite?
Match fixing?
In my mind, there is only one real superstar,SURENDRA.
Pradeep is the second best.

K. sen u r absolutely correct. the man who had been dominating for 10 weeks all of a sudden had lost to some1 who managed 2 just hang in there by a thin thread.
I believe it’s not SMS that chose SSS but Sirasa itself. Every thing of round of 12 had gone in to a script already designed by them even b4 round of 12 began.
Imagine had Surendra, the overwhelming favourite won, nobody wouldn’t have had anything 2 speak about, no controversies. But Pradeep’s amazing victory made all of us 2 talk about this final & so many debates, arguments,comments are made about this, so many controversies. that’s what Sirasa wanted. U guyz fooled ur selves by sending down loads of SMS.
Any way Surendra was the real shining star.

Whatever happened in the final, I have no doubt about Surendra’s talent. He is a gifted singer and knows how to capture everyone’s heart. He has given new lives to those songs he sang in the competition. No doubt he was the BEST.
